Electronics and Communication Engineering is a branch of Engineering in which students gain theoretical and working knowledge of communication systems [audio, data and video], safety systems and industrial electronic systems. Hence its applications are found in almost all industries especially steel, coal, mining, cement, defence, power, railways etc.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2011 in School of Engineering, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree & PG Courses. This department offers B.E/B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering course and currently three batches of students are passed out. The department strictly follows the syllabi as prescribed by Andhra University. The admissions are made through EAMCET rankings.

The Department has well equipped laboratories with various electronic, electrical, digital devices and simulation softwares. The labs provide good access for all students for long hours, making it possible for the students to work in a safe and progressive environment.
The labs are taught through a combination of lectures, discussions, demonstrations and exercises led by experienced personnel. Here, the students receive practical and professional training in the fields of electronics and communication engineering. The roles of teamwork and creativity are also highlighted in the laboratories. The students are trained in such a way that they analyze every experiment and learn something new from it.
